Faith and Friends: Building Lasting Community in Casa Grande
By Grant Brockhouse
Faith and Friends is a new and growing community in Casa Grande that brings people together for conversation, connection, and shared experiences. At its core, Faith and Friends is about creating safe and welcoming spaces where friendships can grow and faith can be explored in everyday life.
One of the regular gathering points is Tapping into Theology, held on the second Wednesday of each month at A Latte Vino. These casual evenings invite people to gather around good food and conversation, exploring how faith connects to real-life questions. Topics range widely, sometimes lighthearted, sometimes deep, but always rooted in respect and openness.
As one participant explained, “Everybody has a different background and different experiences and everyone has a story to tell.” That’s the heart of Faith and Friends: valuing each person’s story, perspective, and journey.
But Faith and Friends is more than one monthly gathering. It’s a network of opportunities, community events, concerts, service projects, and informal get-togethers, designed to help people connect with one another. These gatherings are intentionally low-pressure and welcoming to all. As the group has emphasized:
“This is a low commitment, low pressure way for people to get together.”
The goal is simple: to grow into a lasting community that reflects the heart of Casa Grande, diverse, welcoming, and hopeful. With new families, retirees, singles, and long-time residents all calling this place home, there is a deep need for connection.
“The need is there to build faith communities and bring people together to find safe spaces. Our goal is to expand and grow.”
Faith and Friends is not just a short-term project. It is a long-term commitment to building relationships, creating safe places for meaningful conversations, and serving the community together.
We’d love for you to be part of this story. Join us at Tapping into Theology on the second Wednesday of each month at A Latte Vino, or watch for upcoming Faith and Friends events throughout the year. And most of all, bring your story. Together, we’re building something that lasts.
